Barbara Cox first practiced yoga as a high school student. Years later, she was inspired by her then five year old daughter to return to yoga. She discovered Kundalini Yoga seven years ago and was awed by its transformative power. Barbara completed a 200 hour Kundalini Yoga teacher training in 2006 with Hari Kaur Khalsa and has also studied with Gurmukh, Christina Sillari, and Ravi Singh.
Barbara teaches Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, who introduced this ancient form of yoga to the western world in 1969. Kundalini yoga weaves together asana, rhythmic movement, pranayam, mantra and meditation in a dynamic, energizing, relaxing and contemplative practice that promotes physical, mental, spiritual and emotional energetic healing in our daily lives. The practice opens us to joy. As one yogi has put it: "After a hatha yoga class, I want to meditate; after a kundalini class, I want to go out and play." Barbara also brings to her teaching alignment principles learned during a longtime and continuing practice of hatha yoga. She is certified by the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) and is a member of 3HO International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association.

Denise Donovan began her own yoga practice with her gifted teacher Jonny Kest, starting each day with Astanga and ending with Vinyasa, and will not be satisfied until she is levitating. She takes particular inspiration from two of today's living masters, Sri K Pattabhi Jois and Mr.. B.K.S. Iyengar, which includes the many teachers that are continuing their legacy. A 2005 graduate of Iyengar based YOGAspirit Studios, Denise feels a consistent yoga practice enables students to get to know themselves in a profound and life-altering way--which happens one day at a time with regular practice. Her classes offer an opportunity to be present and get acquainted with the the observer in us all. She invites you to take part in the process of eradicating habits that hinder real progress by using patience, compassion, and a little humor--be prepared to breathe deeply and sweat.
