Sue Neufeld has been a dedicated student of yoga since 1986. As she approached her 50th birthday in 2001, she decided she wanted to share her passion for yoga by teaching others. She received her 200-hour certification from Kripalu in Lenox, Mass. in January 2003. She took Todd Norian’s Chakra Yoga Teacher Training, an in-depth study of psychic energy centers in the body. She completed Yoga of the Heart TM Cardiac and Cancer Teacher training with Nischala Joy Devi in March 2004, enabling her to effectively teach restorative yoga to all populations.
Sue is currently studying Para Yoga with Rod Stryker for her 500-hour certification. Para Yoga is a Tantric approach aimed at helping all students to live life to the fullest and awaken to their potential. She custom designs her classes to meet the needs of her students. Classes help the body to stretch, strengthen and tone while cultivating energy awareness. She encourages self-acceptance and love and uses meditation techniques allowing the student access to inner stillness and well-being. "Yoga enables me to find center in the midst of turbulence; to build my capacity for love, joy, creativity and light in my life," Sue says. "My daily meditation practice is a source of inspiration and beauty. I want to share that and more with my students."
Sue also is enriched by Manorama, director of Sanskrit studies in New York City. She attends Manorama's "cosmic chat sessions" monthly, a combination of Sanskrit, yoga philosophy and chanting. Sue has participated in several of Manorama’s workshops, and draws on her inspirational teachings.
