Next "Kitty Yoga" Class coming up – Thursday evening, January 10, 7:10-8:40pm
Katherine "Kitty" Moore was the founder and director of The Connecticut Yoga Center upon which Your Community Yoga Center was built, and the inspiration for so many of our teachers to become teachers, including Jennifer and Laine. If you have never experienced one of her classes or workshops, you really owe it to yourself to take this opportunity. In addition to the physical practice, her workshops include her deep but playful mix of bandha, kriya, mantra, pranayama and meditation.
Engaging and encouraging, she will guide you into places you never thought you could go. She practices and teaches Yoga as a science of self-realization that leads to a joyous life and ultimate freedom.
A graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and the Juilliard school, Kitty has been a full time yoga teacher for 14 years. She has several Iyengar-based certifications including two 200 hour certifications with Patty Townsend (The Center For Yoga, Amhearst) and Kim Valeri (YOGAspirit® Studios), and has recently finished the 500hr YTT program in ParaYoga® with her teacher of the last six years, Rod Stryker. Among the many other wonderful teachers she has studied with are Alan Finger, Manorama, Judith Lasater and Lex Gilliam.
