Sue Neufeld is a Para Yoga certified teacher. She completed nine master- level training courses with her teacher and guide, Yogarupa Rod Stryker. "Para" means supreme, ancient, highest. In April 2005, Rod initiated Sue into the lineage of Swami Rama of the Himalayas.
Sue has been a dedicated yoga student since 1986 and is an E-RYT (experienced registered yoga teacher) with Yoga Alliance. Her classes offer an inspiring blend of Tantric Hatha Yoga techniques that build strength, flexibility, vitality, clarity, joy and fulfillment. She teaches multi-level classes as well as restorative classes and workshops.
Starting in October 2009, Sue has offered at YCYC a 500 hour advanced Teacher Training with fellow certified Para Yoga® teacher Kathryn Templeton called Teaching Deeper Practices: Yoga Therapy in the lineage of Para Yoga®. For more info, click here.
Sue received her 200-hour certification from Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, Mass., in January, 2003. In March 2004, she completed Yoga of the Heart TM with Nischala Joy Devi, enabling her to effectively teach profound stress-reducing restorative yoga to all populations.
Sue is both a passionate student and teacher of yoga. Her mission statement reflects her intention for her students: to awaken the spark of Agni (fire), self-knowledge, healing and Sri (unity and beauty) in the heart and soul.
