Sue Neufeld has been a dedicated yoga student since 1986 and is currently an E-RYT (experienced registered yoga teacher) with Yoga Alliance. Her classes offer an inspiring blend of Tantric Hatha Yoga techniques that build strength, flexibility, vitality, clarity, joy and fulfillment. She teaches multi-level classes as well as restorative classes and workshops.
Sue is a Para Yoga advanced teacher. She completed nine advanced training courses with master teacher Yogarupa Rod Stryker of ParaYoga. "Para" means supreme, ancient, highest. In April 2005, Rod initiated Sue into the lineage of Swami Rama of the Himalayas.
Sue received her 200-hour certification from Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, Mass., in January, 2003. In March 2004, she completed Yoga of the Heart TM with Nischala Joy Devi, enabling her to effectively teach profound stress-reducing restorative yoga to all populations. Her restorative classes and workshops leave the student feeling centered, calm and able to face life with clarity and ease. While resting peacefully, participants are guided through breath work, imagery, visualization and meditation to experience a slowing of the mind and thoughts and to realign with joy and deep-abiding inner peace. Restorative yoga offers a tremendous healing opportunity for people of all ages and experience levels.
Sue is both a passionate student and teacher of yoga. Her mission statement reflects her intention for her students: to awaken the spark of Agni (fire), self-knowledge, healing and Sri (unity and beauty) in the heart and soul.
