Tantric Hatha Yoga is a holistic approach to yoga that treats the whole person: body, mind and spirit. The word Tantra means to stretch beyond all limitations. It is both a philosophy (world view) and a science – techniques to get the philosophy to unfold. Tantra also means to weave. It’s a continuous weaving of spiritual consciousness into the tapestry of life.

At Your Community Yoga Center, we teach Right Hand Tantra, the path of peace and joy. This transformative approach builds strength, flexibility, vitality, clarity, joy and fulfillment using postures, breath work, visualization, relaxation and meditation. Tantra teaches how to purify body mind and senses in order to become a more fit vehicle for prana (life force energy) to shine in your life. It is about opening your heart. One definition of Tantra is "to have your heart touched, to live in wonder." The promise of Tantra is managing your own prana to have more joy, less fear and to be a more powerful force for good in the world.
