Sex and Stress: Hormones at Play Exploring Womenʼs Health Issues
with Kathryn Templeton
The Yogic and Ayurvedic Perspective
Hormones, diet, relationships and busy lifestyle can aggravate your stress levels. When stress runs high, our bodies compensate and offer us a range of physical and emotional symptoms that feel uncomfortable. Over time our attempts to de-stress are ineffective and can become debilitating… our sex hormones shift and our stress hormones are exhausted! Weight gain, depression, anxiety, heart disease, PMS, hot flashes, dryness “down there”, arthritis, lack of sexual desire, and the list goes on…
Join us for a day to explore Ayurveda and Yoga’s perspective on physiological changes women experience in our bodies and minds… learn how to offer yourself smooth transitions around menopause, childbearing and the normal changes that happen in our lives regarding jobs, relationships and everything else!
We will discuss the western understanding of stress and sex hormones and how they relate. We will learn about yogic and ayurvedic approaches to normal transitions that occur within our bodies and minds. We will experience how yoga and Ayurveda can aid us in feeling our best; keep a calm and tranquil mind with vibrant physical well being…and enjoying life’s bounty, as ONLY a woman can!!!
