Our StudioS
Your Community Yoga Center is housed in the historic Whitneyville firehouse in Hamden, CT, a building with a long history of serving the community.
We have two studios: the Lotus studio and the Om studio. Both have large windows that bring in beautiful natural light and feature hand-painted wall art by local artist Carleigh Hoff. The L-shaped Lotus Studio is home to some of our smaller classes, and has a bamboo floor. The Om Studio hosts larger classes, and has a natural hardwood floor and a raised teaching platform. Both of our studios are equipped with props.
Amenities include two restrooms, water coolers, a tea station, shoe and coat storage, and a small shop where we sell mats, blocks, and books, as well as jewelry and other products by local artists.
Both studios have Corsi-Rosenthal air filters in use during our classes.
