Sarah Knox believes that yoga can and should be accessible to all. Sarah was struggling with a herniated disc when she discovered Viniyoga and finally began to heal. She learned to accommodate the yoga to her body rather than the other way around.

The Viniyoga tradition emphasizes the appropriate application of yoga according to the circumstances of the individual. With the use of breath-centered movement, careful sequencing and adaptation Sarah strives to create a supportive, welcoming environment in her classes.

Sarah has been teaching yoga since 1997 when she was certified in ISHTA Yoga by Alan Finger. Sarah has studied extensively with teachers in the Viniyoga tradition, including TKV Desikachar, AG Mohan, Gary Kraftsow and Kristine Weber, as well as pursuing advanced studies in yoga anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
